How did this come about?
Whether your sitting at work in the office cubicle, or lounging around at home relaxing, Maxi Arcade provides a great little escape from
the pressures of modern day life..so I got to thinking, how can I promote this new arcade and get the word out to the millions of gamers that use the internet every day.
Then it dawned on me - "How about a competition?".
At first I thought about offering a free game, but then I realised how notorious games are for falling behind release dates, not to mention
the differances in hardware from country to country. At that point it hit me...how about a digital gift certificate? What could be cooler!
Introducing the $50 Amazon Gift Certificate Offer.
The rules for the competition are simple:
1) You must register on the site in order to qualify for the competition. After all I need a valid email address to send this wonderful
gift certicate too when the competition closes, if your lucky enough to win.
2) The closing time is 30th April 2006 GMT. There are off course a billion differant time zones..so ill let you figure that part out, suffice to say it will be
drawn at some point on this date.
3) The gift certificate is a Amazon Gift Certificate, that will be sent via email and is redeemable in many countries throughtout the world. If you find
yourself in a country where the Amazon service is not available to you, I shall send you payment of $50USD (or the equivalent in your local currency) via paypal instead.
Just to clarify you get a gift certificate OR payment via paypal - not both.
If you cant get paypal either...your flat out of luck im afraid, and I will not be held liable for the amount owed, so please check first!
4) The amount of the gift certificate is $50 U.S Dollars, or the equivalent in your local currency.
5) The gift certificate can be redeemed for a whole host of goods, but it cannot be redeemed for cash. Any amount you dont spend initially
is carried over as a balance that you can spend later.
6) The prize will be drawn by me, and the method is as follows.
- I put everyones user id onto a small square piece of paper, excluding my own.
- I put the squares into a hat.
- Throw the hat in the air.
- I close my eyes and pick a single user ID of the floor :)
Thats it really...im looking for a better method if anyone can suggest one. Ideally a site
that allows me to punch in a bunch of user id's and randomly select 1. If you find a site like that, let me
know at webmaster@maxiarcade.com. As yet all ive found are sites for lotto number generation.
